This just sounds really interesting so thought I'd share this one. Short notice, I know:

Adam Wooley, a professional aerialist, will be teaching aerial dance workshops for kids and adults this weekend at Studio A DanceArts in Chapel Hill. (Think Cirque du Soleil).

Wooley is originally from Durham, but currently lives in New York where he tells me he can ply his trade full time. When he comes back to Durham to visit his parents, he usually teaches a workshop at the studio, which is owned by a friend of one of his friends. There are usually between two to four workshops a year. Learn a lot more about Wooley on his Circus Edge website.

I'm told there are openings in the 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. class on Saturday for kids ages 12 and up. And there are spots in the workshop for adults on Sunday. Enrollment is limited to 10 students (and there are six already signed up for the Saturday class for kids). The fee is $20.
