Chapel Hill police ID suspect in Food Lion theft

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — Police on Friday identified a man wanted in connection with a recent break-in at a local Food Lion supermarket.

Anthony Suggs, 33, is wanted on charges of felony breaking and entering and felony larceny in the July 11 burglary of a Food Lion on Weaver Dairy Road, police said.

A masked man smashed a window at the store, went inside and filled a trash can with tobacco products before fleeing, police said. The same man is believed to have robbed Food Lion stores in Hillsborough, Durham and Creedmoor, police said.

Suggs is described as a black man, 5 feet, 10 inches tall and 145 pounds, with brown eyes and receding black hair. He has scars around both eyes.
