Chapel Hill man charged in Durham store robberies

Tajudeen Borokinni, 29, of Pinegate Circle, faces two counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon and two counts of second-degree kidnapping in connection with the April 17 crimes.
The first robbery happened at the Kangaroo convenience store at 2229 N.C. Highway 54 at around 3:50 a.m. The second happened around 6 a.m. at Cruizer's at 3578 Hillsborough Road.
Borokinni was in the Orange County jail when he was charged, Durham police said.
