Cary woman charged with making heroin accessible to child

Police on Tuesday arrested a Cary woman on drug and child abuse charges, alleging that she gave her child access to heroin and drug paraphernalia.

HOLLY SPRINGS, N.C. — Police on Tuesday arrested a Cary woman on drug and child abuse charges, alleging that she gave her child access to heroin and drug paraphernalia.

Holly Springs police charged Meghan Marie Cunningham, 23, of 309 Swordgate Drive, with one count each of possession of drug paraphernalia and misdemeanor child abuse.

The child's age isn't listed in the arrest warrant, and it was unclear Wednesday who has custody of the child.

Garion Jason Gray, 20, of 220 Gordon St. in Cary, was arrested with Cunningham. He was charged with one count each of heroin possession, possession with intent to sell or distribute marijuana and maintaining a dwelling for the keeping and selling of controlled substances.
