Cary men arrested in Morrisville robbery
Police officers arrested three Cary men in a robbery in which gunmen stole money and drugs from a Morrisville apartment Wednesday night.
Posted — UpdatedJoseph Polanco, Mohammed Jilani and Irvin Vasquez face charges of armed robbery, said Stacie Galloway, a spokeswoman for the town of Morrisville.
Two masked men broke into an apartment in the 2000 block of Sterling Green Drive, brandished handguns and demanded money, Galloway said. They bound the four occupants with duct tape before leaving.
No one was injured. Investigators believe that the robbery was not random but planned for a specific target, Galloway said.
Cary police officers located the suspects after they fled the Morrisville apartment complex. Morrisville police seized drug contraband at the scene of the arrest.
Galloway said the investigation into the robbery was continuing.
