CARY, N.C. — A Cary man’s Monday blues vanished instantly when he claimed a $1 million lottery prize.
Jeffrey Le Rose bought a $5,000,000 Mega Cash ticket at Parkway Convenience on Kildaire Farm Road and claimed his prize Monday at lottery headquarters in Raleigh.
Le Rose chose to take a lump sum payment of $600,000 and took home $423,000 after taxes.
Lottery officials said the $5,000,000 Mega Cash game launched last year, with three top prizes of $5 million and six $1 million prizes. Two top prizes and two $1 million prizes remain.
