CARY, N.C. — A Cary man is being held under $1 million bond after authorities found multiple files containing child pornography on his computer.

Robert Shepard Peterson, 56, of 1202 Linton Court, was charged with multiple counts of second-degree exploitation of a minor after authorities found more than a dozen videos showing children engaging in sex acts.

According to warrants, the videos depicted children as young as 6 years old.

Peterson is scheduled to appear in court Thursday and is forbidden from having contact with anybody under the age of 18 if he is released on bond.
