CARY, N.C. — A Cary man faces charges following a case of road rage, authorities said.

Timothy Hobbs, 38, of Cary, is charged with resisting and delaying an officer and providing false information, police said.

Authorities said Hobbs allegedly pepper-sprayed another driver at the intersection of N.C. Highway 55 and High House Road, police said. But they did not say what led to the altercation.

Authorities said Hobbs is not facing charges for using the pepper spray but for providing false information to the officer who was investigating the incident.

No one was seriously hurt.
