Cary man charged with distributing child porn
A Cary man was arrested this week on charges that he allowed people to download sexually explicit videos of children.
Posted — UpdatedJames Glenn Kline, 62, of 121 Drakewood Place, was charged Monday with 18 counts of second-degree exploitation of a minor. He remains in the Wake County jail under $540,000 bond.
Cary police seized several computers, external hard drives, flash drives and SD cards and a digital camera in a Jan. 15 search of Kline's home and vehicles, according to a search warrant.
Cary police and Boone police were conducting separate searches for illicit activity online last June when they noticed people were connecting to a computer in Cary to download files that were later determined to be videos showing men performing sex acts on infants and young girls or the girls posing in sexually explicit positions, according to the application for the search warrant.
The law enforcement agencies found similar downloads occurred in July and December, the warrant application states.
