Cary High's band to march in 2016 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade

Cary High School's marching band will be one of 10 high school bands to march in the 2016 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, officials announced Tuesday.

Cary's band was selected from hundreds of nationwide applicants to take part in the festivities.

Officials from Macy's and school leaders surprised students with the news Tuesday morning at a gathering at the school.
