CARY, N.C. — About 20,000 Progress Energy customers in Cary were briefly without power Tuesday after workers cut a transmission line.
The outages were sporadic throughout the town and lasted about 34 minutes, a utility spokeswoman said. She did not immediately know where in Cary the transmission line was cut.
Customers first started reporting the power failures at about 11:38 a.m. Crews were able to restore power to all customers by 12:12 p.m.
