Carrboro police were searching Thursday for a woman who they say abused and injured an infant.

<b>CARRBORO, N.C.</b> — Carrboro police were searching Thursday for a woman who they say abused and injured an infant.

Maria Estela Chavez-Guizar, of 501 Jones Ferry Road, Apt. S-2, is wanted on a charge of intentional child abuse inflicting serious bodily injury.

Police said that Chave-Guizar harmed an infant who was in her care on Jan. 27. More details weren't released.
