Carrboro woman wanted on child abuse charge
Carrboro police were searching Thursday for a woman who they say abused and injured an infant.
Posted — UpdatedCARRBORO, N.C. — Carrboro police were searching Thursday for a woman who they say abused and injured an infant.
Maria Estela Chavez-Guizar, of 501 Jones Ferry Road, Apt. S-2, is wanted on a charge of intentional child abuse inflicting serious bodily injury.
Police said that Chave-Guizar harmed an infant who was in her care on Jan. 27. More details weren't released.
