The Carolina Ballet's 2019-2020 season will launch Sept. 12 and includes a never-before-seen version of Frankenstein, the holiday favorite The Nutcracker, and, as in years past, special deals for high school and college students.

The season kicks off with George Balanchine’s Rubies and continues with three other performances through the holidays—Frankenstein in October, A Tribute to the Masters in November and The Nutcracker in December.

Here are the deals for high school and college students, via the company.

Carolina Ballet High School Student Ticket Deal

High school students may receive complimentary tickets to select Carolina Ballet performances with a valid student ID. Tickets may be reserved in advance with additional ticket purchases by calling the box office. If no additional tickets will be purchased, the complimentary high school tickets can be requested on the day of the performance at the Theater Box Office beginning one hour prior to the performance. All seating is based on availability. Tickets reserved in advance will be held at Will Call and students must present a valid high school student ID to claim their ticket. One student ticket per ID. Important note: Complimentary student tickets are not available for The Nutcracker.

Carolina Ballet College Student Ticket Deal

College students may purchase individual tickets for $20 with a valid student ID. Tickets may be purchased in advance by calling the box office. Tickets may also be purchased on the day of the performance at the Theater Box Office beginning one hour prior to the performance. All seating is based on availability for that performance. Tickets purchased in advance will be held at Will Call, and students must present a valid college student ID to claim the ticket. One student ticket per college ID.

The start of the season also coincides with the one-year anniversary of the School of Carolina Ballet, which features instruction by the company’s professional dancers and includes various forms of dance, such as ballet, contemporary and hip hop. Registration is now open and new classes begin Sept. 9.
