Selma, N.C. — The North Carolina State Highway Patrol is investigating after pulling a car and a body from a lake.
According to officials, skid marks indicate the driver ran off Interstate 95 north of Selma and ended up submerged in a body of water near Campground Road.
On Wednesday around 1:15 a.m., divers and a boat team responded and pulled the car and a man's body from the water.
Troopers said the man was the only person in the car. There were car seats in the backseat, but no children were in the car.
The crash is under investigation.
