RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh police were looking for the shooter after gunshots rang out along Glenwood Avenue Friday afternoon.

Windows were shattered in several vehicles in the parking lot of a Walmart in the 6600 block of Glenwood Avenue by the shots just before 3 p.m.

It was not immediately clear what the motive was for the gunfire, or at whom it was directed.

Police released a surveillance photo of a man described as being between 18 and 24 years old, between 6' and 6'2" tall and weighing about 175 pounds. The man has long dreadlocks, a tattoo of a cross on his forehead and another tattoo on the right side of his face.

Police did not say what led them to suspect that he was the shooter.

On Saturday, photos of four people believed to be associates of the suspect were also released.
