RALEIGH, N.C. — A woman received serious injuries when a car hit her at a gas station in southeastern Raleigh on Friday afternoon, police said.

Colleen Cannon Jelley, 48, and her husband David Alexander Jelley, 52, both of 104 Jasmine Ct., in Carrboro, were standing outside their sport-utility vehicle at Hess gas station at Jones Sausage Road and Integrity Drive, off Interstate 40, shortly before 3 p.m.

A car, driven by Henry Brian Bagwell, 36, of 4880 Auburn Church Road in Garner, struck the SUV, knocking both pedestrians down.

Colleen Jelley was transported to the hospital with broken bones. She was listed in good condition Saturday afternoon. Her husband was treated and released.

Bagwell was also taken to the hospital. He was listed in stable condition.  Bagwell will be formally charged with DWI upon release from the hospital, authorities said.
