Car stolen from gas station with 2-year-old inside

— A woman was charged with child neglect after police said her car was stolen from a Charlotte gas station with her 2-year-old daughter inside Monday night, WCNC reported.

The woman told police she left her car running in the parking lot with her 2-year-old daughter inside. When she was inside the store, police said two men stole the car.

Police said the suspects jumped and ran from the car when it was spotted.

Police have not located the suspects.

Medical officials determined the girl was not hurt. She was returned to her parents.
