Car runs off road, crashes into creek in Raleigh

A car ran off the road and crashed into a creek near Barwell Road in Raleigh. Multiple people were wading in the water around the car, which had a damaged hood and front bumper and a cracked windshield. No one appeared to be inside the car.

A car ran off the road and crashed into a creek near Barwell Road in Raleigh.

On Wednesday morning around 10:30 a.m. the vehicle, which appeared to be a black sedan, was partially submerged in a creek, with at least one person examining it.

First responders, including at least one police car and one fire truck, were on the scene. At least one person was seen wading through the creek, where the car was lodged and partially beneath the water.

The vehicle had a damaged hood and front bumper, and the windshield was cracked. No one appeared to be inside the car.

No information has yet been released on the cause of the accident or whether there were any injuries.
