A car plowed into a Dunkin Donuts location on U.S. Highway 70 on Thursday, according to a tweet by Clayton police. 

<b>CLAYTON, N.C.</b> — A car plowed into a Dunkin' Donuts location on U.S. Highway 70 on Thursday, according to a tweet by Clayton police.

Officers said a woman accidentally hit the gas pedal of her car and smashed through a glass window of the restaurant, located at 770 Enterprise Dr.

The driver and another woman inside the car were not hurt, and everyone inside the shop was okay.

Police did not say if charges would be filed.

It was not clear how long the restaurant will be closed.
