— A car drove over a 10-foot retaining wall at a Durham apartment complex Saturday, police said.

Officers were dispatched to the complex on Calibre Park Drive around 12:15 p.m., where a gray sedan was nearly vertical next to the wall.

First responders helped the driver escape the car, police said, and it took about 40 minutes to remove the car from behind the wall.

The driver was taken to Duke University Medical Center with minor injuries.

A ground-floor apartment was damaged in the crash.
