Car crashes into officer's vehicle stopped on wet road

No one was injured Monday when a car crashed into the back of an officer's vehicle.

RALEIGH, N.C. — No one was injured Monday when a car crashed into the back of an officer's patrol vehicle.

According to officials, a police officer was directing traffic around a large puddle on Poole Road near Interstate 440. Although the officer's blue lights were on, the other car was not able to stop in time and rear-ended the patrol car.

The driver of the car was charged with failing to reduce speed.

Neither the officer nor the driver were injured.
