Car crashes in Fayetteville with 2 people shot inside

The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office is investigating a double shooting that occurred Friday night.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office is investigating a double shooting that occurred Friday night.

Before 9 p.m., deputies responded to the 200 block of Angel Drive in Fayetteville, where they found a 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe had damaged several mailboxes and fences before striking a trailer.

The driver, 18-year-old Christian Jacobs of Hope Mills, had been shot in the arm, and the passenger, 18-year-old Taylor Moncrief of Parkton, was shot in the chest.

Both victims were transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, where they were in stable condition.
