Driver dies from crash on I-440 near Six Forks Road in Raleigh
A driver died in a crash on Interstate 440 near Six Forks Road in Raleigh on Saturday afternoon.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A driver died in a crash on Interstate 440 near Six Forks Road in Raleigh on Saturday afternoon.
Police said a person was traveling alone when they lost control of the vehicle and hit a guardrail.
Photos from the scene show a car that flipped over the side of the guardrail and into the woods. Authorities said the wreck occurred around 1 p.m. between the exits for Six Forks Road and Wake Forest Road.
Two out of four of the westbound lanes on I-440 were closed near Exit 8 for several hours as crews worked to clear the scene.
The driver's name has not been released yet.
