MORRISVILLE, N.C. — Check your flight if you're headed to Raleigh-Durham International Tuesday morning. A fifth day of American Airlines cancellations and delays could affect your travel plans.

By 6 a.m., three American Airlines flights were canceled out of the airport, according to the departure boards in the terminal.

Issues with delays and cancellations have persisted since Friday, when the company said high winds and reduced runway capacity in Dallas set off a chain reaction of problems.

American hoped to get things back on track Monday with 1,800 flight attendants returning from leave, but 500 flights were still canceled.

The company is hopeful things can return to normal Tuesday.
