CARY, N.C. — Best Buy is selling the highly coveted Playstation 5 and the Xbox Series X in select stores on Thursday.

Stores in Cary and Fayetteville will have the gaming systems, which have proven difficult to find since they were released almost a full year ago.

Some people camped out overnight to ensure a spot in line, as the stores only have around 50 to 100 in stock. Before sunrise, there was already a long line of people waiting for their chance to get one of these highly sought after systems.

Employees will start handing out tickets to people in line at 7:30 a.m., with the limit of one ticket per customer.

One group with a spot towards the front of the line said they had come to buy systems to re-sell.

The price of these consoles ranges from $400 to $500 dollars depending on which version you buy.
