CAMERON, N.C. — A Cameron man was arrested and charged in connection with a domestic-related homicide Tuesday, authorities said.

Harnett County deputies went to 194 Watchmen Lane after a report of a domestic incident there and a request to check on someone there, authorities said. While on their way there, they stopped a vehicle being driven by a man who matched the description of one of the people involved in the domestic incident.

Once they arrived at the house, they found a woman dead. Her name hasn't been released.

The driver, Plemon J. Aker, 29, was taken into custody and later charged with first-degree murder.

He is being held in the Harnett County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center under no bond.
