RALEIGH, N.C. — A television camera will be allowed in the courtroom next month when Raleigh's Jason Young stands trial for the murder of his wife, Wake County Superior Court Judge Donald W. Stephens ruled Wednesday.

WRAL.com is planning to stream video of the trial proceedings. Jury selection is scheduled to begin Tuesday with arguments in the case starting the following week.

Jason Young was arrested in December 2009 in the slaying of Michelle Young, 29, who was five months' pregnant when she was beaten inside the couple's Wake County home on Nov. 3, 2006. He has said he was out of town on business at the time of her death.

The trial is expected to last approximately one month. Prosecutors have indicated that they will not seek the death penalty.
