Caller describes pile of broken boats, dock near Oak Island
A Southport man said Hurricane Isaias severely damaged his boat and several others, along with the dock they were tied to, early Tuesday.

APPARENTLY ABOUT 500 TO 700 FEET OF THE DOCKS BROKE OFF AND THEN BROKE IN HALF AND CRUMPLED INTO THE REST OF THE DOCKS ALONG WITH THE BOATS. SO IT IS REALLY JUST A GIANT PILE OF BROKEN BOATS AND DOCKS. >> HAVE YOU BEEN ABLE TO ASSESS THE DAMAGE TO YOUR OWN BOAT? >> I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO AT LEAST LOCATE THE BOAT BUT I CANNOT MAKE MY WAY OUT TO THE BOAT, TO ACCESS HOW MANY DAMAGES ARE DONE.>> WHEN PEOPLE SEE THE DAMAGE, HOW WILL PEOPLE FEEL? >> I THINK THEY WILL BE REALLY SHOCKS.
