Even after the district approved another bonus for full-time employees Tuesday night, Wake County Public School System leaders said a cafeteria staff "sick-out" could continue for a second day, impacting 15 schools on Wednesday.

When cafeteria staff called out Tuesday from more than 30 schools across Wake County, parents stepped in to make sure students would not go hungry.

<p>WRAL'S MATT TELL HIM HIS OUTSIDE ONE SCHOOL WITH THE REPORT. &gt;&gt; Reporter: DOMINO'S PIZZA DROPPED OFF AN ORDER HERE TO THE CAFETERIA AT BANKS ROAD ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, 35 PIZZAS THAT SOMEONE ORDERED FOR STUDENTS. THE SCHOOL SYSTEM SAYS EVERY STUDENT IN THIS COUNTY WILL RECEIVE A MAIL TODAY. THEY WORKED OVERNIGHT TO MAKE SURE THERE WERE FOOD ITEMS AVAILABLE WHICH MAY MEAN COLD SANDWICHES OR SNACKS AND ITEMS DELIVERED LIKE WHAT HAPPENED HERE AT BANKS ROAD ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. ALL OF THIS IS HAPPENING AT ALL OF THESE SCHOOLS, MORE THAN 30 OF THEM. THIS MORNING, NICOLE SICKLES AND HER HUSBAND DROPPED OFF SEVERAL HUNDRED DOLLARS WORTH OF FOOD TO BANKS ROAD ELEMENTARY. THEY HAVE A SON IN FIFTH GRADE AND TWO OLDER CHILDREN WHO WENT THROUGH THE SCHOOL. THEY JUMPED INTO ACTION WHEN THEY GOT THE MESSAGE THAT THE SCHOOL SENT OUT LAST NIGHT ABOUT THE EXPECTED CAFETERIA STAFF SHORTAGE AT MORE THAN 30 SCHOOLS. THE FAMILY LOADED UP SEVERAL CARDS AT THE HARRIS STORE WHICH GAVE THEM $100 OFF TO MAKE SURE STUDENTS AT THIS SCHOOL HAVE A MEAL. &gt;&gt; THIS IS THE ONLY MEAL SOMETIMES THAT KIDS ARE GOING TO HAVE AND THE FACT THAT OUR SCHOOLS CAN FEED OUR CHILDREN, ARE YOU KIDDING ME? &gt;&gt; Reporter: THE DOMINOES DELIVERY DRIVER TELLS US THEY ARE DOING ORDERS FOR SEVERAL HUNDRED PIZZAS FOR SEVERAL SCHOOLS HERE IN THE AREA. THIS BANKS ROAD ELEMENTARY SCHOOL HAD THREE CAFETERIA WORKERS WHO CALLED OUT TODAY. THE SCHOOL SYSTEM SAYS AT THIS POINT THEY ONLY EXPECT THIS TO LAST TODAY, THIS SICK OUT AND THEY HOPE THAT THINGS WILL BE BACK TO NORMAL TOMORROW. THE SCHOOL SYSTEM DID NOT HAVE A NUMBER ON HOW MANY WORKERS CALLED UP BUT THIS IS HAPPENING AS LATER THIS AFTERNOON THE SCHOOL BOARD IS CONSIDERING ADDITIONAL BONUSES FOR EMPLOYEES SO THE TIMING MATCHES UP WITH</p>
