Cable, Internet service restored in Cary

Up to 10,000 Time Warner Cable customers in Cary lost phone, Internet and television service for hours Thursday after a contractor accidentally cut a fiber line, a spokesman said.

CARY, N.C. — Up to 10,000 Time Warner Cable customers in Cary lost phone, Internet and television service for hours Thursday after a contractor accidentally cut a fiber line, a spokesman said.

Three cell phone towers are also affected.

The incident happened at around 9 a.m. Service was restored by about 4 p.m., company spokesman Keith Poston said.
