When it comes to people who eat peanut butter, there are three categories. First, there are those who think it’s fine now and then. Next are the folks who consider it a yummy treat. Finally, the true peanut butter fanatics always have it on hand and find as many ways to eat it as humanly possible.
If you (or someone you know) fall into that last group, you might be delighted to learn that Reese’s sells massive jars of peanut butter sauce. And just like the Hershey’s brand’s famous peanut butter cups, there is no wrong way to eat it.
Reese’s Peanut Butter Sauce comes in 4.5-pound containers that look an awful lot like a traditional peanut butter jar, only a whole lot bigger. The sauce is shelf-stable, so you can twist it open, use what you want, close it up and save it for later.
The jars are typically sold to restaurants and other foodservice organizations, such as school cafeterias. In fact, Hershey offers it on its own foodservice site and includes it in recipes from desserts to salad dressing. But if pourable peanut butter sounds like a dream come true to you, the containers are available to the general public thanks to Amazon.
Twitter user @TigerRose420 used it to make a peanut butter sundae.
“OMG,” user @humboldtnorm said in a reply. “I could eat that entire jar.”
Michael Alt (@CtrlMAltDel) shared his love of the sauce with the brand.
“I just want Reese’s peanut butter sauce on tap,” he commented on a tweet from Reese’s.
You could certainly pour this sauce over ice cream, but if you love peanut butter you might find tons of other uses for it. For instance, you could dip fruit into it, spread it on cookies or even use it in savory recipes.
