RALEIGH, N.C. — United Airlines will launch daily nonstop flight service between Raleigh-Durham International Airport and Denver as of April 24.

The flight will depart at 4:52 p.m.

A nonstop flight to RDU will leave Denver at 10:42 a.m. local time.

An average of nearly 400 people per day fly from RDU to Denver using flights that require connections.

“Nearly 200 passengers travel between RDU and Denver each day, making it the largest RDU market without nonstop service,” said Teresa Damiano, RDU Airport Authority’s marketing director. “The Triangle region and Denver each are home to leaders in the finance, high-tech and healthcare industries. This new service will help facilitate these business synergies.”

A study in 2005 found that Denver was one of the top destinations that would receive support from RDU passengers if such a service was available.

Once the RDU-Denver service begins, airlines servicing RDU will offer nonstop flights to 39 destinations.
