Kinston, N.C. — A subsidiary of Delta Airlines has acquired Kinston-based Segrave Aviation in an all-cash transaction, officials said Friday.
Terms of the Delta AirElite's purchase weren't disclosed.
Segrave, which began operations in 1994, directs a fleet of managed aircraft specializing in wholesale charter aviation services, private aircraft management, aircraft maintenance and fixed base operations.
The move will double the size of Cincinnati-based Delta AirElite's fleet and improve Web-based booking and the travel experience for fleet membership card and charter customers, officials said.
Delta is the only U.S.-based carrier with commercial and private jet service.
