LUMBERTON, N.C. — Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton announced a plan Thursday to cut jobs in response to economic pressure.

The hospital has seen fewer patients, less revenue and increased expenses over the past year, according to a statement released Thursday.

Up to 112 positions at the center, or about 5 percent of the 2,300 employees, could be affected, the statement said.
