PRINCETON, N.J. — Anna Beeber, an assistant professor at the University of North Carolina School of Nursing in Chapel Hill, is among a dozen Nursing Faculty Scholars in the U.S. named by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation for outstanding work.
The award brings a three-year, $350,000 grant to pursue research, as well as mentoring from senior faculty at each faculty member's institution, the foundation said in an announcement Thursday.
"The award is given to junior faculty who show outstanding promise as future leaders in academic nursing," the announcement said.
Beeber's research topic that garnered the reward is "Developing Best Nursing Practices in Assisted Living."
