CLINTON, N.C. — A Clinton City Schools bus driver has been cited for a March 1 wreck that caused a state trooper to crash into a home, authorities said Friday.

Shonda Michelle Chavious, 37, was cited with failing to yield right of way.

Chavious was driving a school bus filled with about 35 to 40 students when she pulled out in front of Trooper D.K. Pearson on North Boulevard in Clinton, authorities said.

Pearson lost control of his patrol car and crashed into a Clinton house. He suffered minor injuries, but no one else was hurt in the incident, authorities said.
