CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — No one was injured after a bus caught fire in Chapel Hill on Tuesday.
The fire started at the YMCA on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard around 2:30 p.m.
Firefighters said the bus, which is owned by the YMCA, was empty when the fire started.
In a letter sent home to parents, the YMCA said the bus had a mechanical issue after its route ended that ultimately resulted in the fire.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
