BURLINGTON, N.C. — A Burlington man is charged with concealing the death of a woman who reportedly overdosed on drugs, according to police.

Zilbertre Aguayo Lopez, 29, was charged with concealment of death after police found the body of 24-year-old Anna Kathleen Brooks in his apartment, located at 624-B Center Avenue.

Brooks died in the apartment of a suspected drug overdose, police said, and an investigation revealed that Lopez failed to report her death to officials.

Lopez was being held Wednesday in the Alamance County jail under a $10,000 bond.

Burlington police are reminding the community of North Carolina's "Good Samaritan" law that encourages people to call 911 and report drug-related overdoses.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the Burlington Police Department at 336-229-3500.
