Brother, sister shot outside Greenville home

Greenville police said that a brother and sister were shot while standing outside their residence in the 1800 block of Hopkins Drive late Friday.

GREENVILLE, N.C. — Greenville police said that a brother and sister were shot while standing outside their residence in the 1800 block of Hopkins Drive late Friday.

The siblings had been in an altercation with some individuals before the shooting around 11:40 p.m., police said.

Shawanda Pittman, 24, and Travis Jermaine Pittman, 20, both suffered serious injuries. They were transported to Pitt County Memorial Hospital.

The investigation is ongoing, police said.
