RALEIGH, N.C. — A burst water line flooded part of the state Attorney General's Office late Wednesday, officials said.

A 3-inch copper line burst at about 11 p.m. Wednesday, flooding the sub-basement of the Department of Justice building. Water was pumped out overnight, and crews were letting the area dry Thursday morning before turning equipment back on, officials said.

Phone and Internet service to the building remained off Thursday afternoon.
