Brewgaloo: NC's largest craft beer festival has arrived
North Carolina's largest craft beer festival is only one week away.
Posted — UpdatedYou have two options for attending the festival.
On Friday, you can beat the crowd and taste some special brews that will not be available during the main event on Saturday.
This event is specifically designed to showcase sours and barrel aged beers. Expect some great food trucks as well, including Arepa Culture, Stuft and Our Cheese Curd Shack. Participating vendors include Gypsy Jule and Worsky Designs. There will also be DJs playing music throughout the night. Plus, if you dress up like your favorite North Carolina beer, you might win the costume contest.
Food will not be in short supply on Saturday, with over 40 food trucks, plus great local Raleigh restaurants, to choose from.
If you are looking for a place to start your sampling on Saturday, head over to the Four Saints Brewing Company tent and be one of the first to try the first carbon-neutral produced beer, the Founding Fathers Hemp Ale.
Four Saints teamed up with Urban Offsets, a business that specializes in sustainability, to create this environmentally-friendly brew. The beer was brewed will local ingredients, and Urban Offsets created a number of carbon offset projects in North Carolina that will completely offset the carbon emissions associated with brewing the ale. Cheers to that.
Brewgaloo takes place on Friday from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. and on Saturday from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m.
