Someone broke into Perry's Gun Shop in Wendell early Monday morning.



<b>WENDELL, N.C.</b> — Someone broke into Perry's Gun Shop in Wendell early Monday morning. Nothing was stolen.

"Early this morning a few folks decided to try to break in," the owner posted on Facebook. "While they were not successful, they made a big mess."

A photo showed shattered glass outside the storefront at 21 East Third Street.

In the post, Perry's thanked the Wendell Police Department and the Wake County Sheriff's Office for their response.

According to the post, officials are talking to witnesses.

The shop will reopen as soon as the glass is cleaned up.
