Bragg soldier, Lejeune Marine die in Afghanistan
A Fort Bragg soldier and a Camp Lejeune Marine were killed Sunday in Afghanistan, the Department of Defense said Tuesday.
Posted — UpdatedArmy Sgt. 1st Class Bradley S. Hughes, 41, of Newark, Ohio, died in a non-combat incident in the Kandahar province, officials said. No other details of the incident were released.
Hughes was assigned to the 528th Sustainment Brigade at Fort Bragg.
Marine Sgt. David P. Day, 26, of Gaylord, Mich., died while conducting combat operations in Badghis province.
Day was assigned to 2nd Marine Special Operations Battalion, Marine Special Operations Regiment, U.S. Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command.
