Bragg soldier killed in Afghanistan
A Fort Bragg soldier was killed Tuesday in Afghanistan, the Department of Defense announced Wednesday.
Posted — UpdatedFORT BRAGG, N.C. — A Fort Bragg soldier was killed Tuesday in Afghanistan, the Department of Defense announced Wednesday.
Staff Sgt. Joshua Z. Beale, 32, of Carrollton, Va., died after being wounded by enemy small-arms fire during combat operations in Tarin Kowt, in the Uruzgan Province of Afghanistan, officials said.
Beale was assigned to 1st Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne).
