Bragg soldier faces child sex charges

A Fort Bragg soldier has been charged with having sex with a young girl, authorities said Monday.

HOPE MILLS, N.C. — A Fort Bragg soldier has been charged with having sex with a young girl, authorities said Monday.

Marcell Williams, 39, of 5352 Pringle Way, has been charged with three counts each of statutory rape and statutory sex offense. He remains in the Cumberland County jail under a $1.5 million bond.

Hope Mills police have turned the case over to the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office, and investigators said they expect more charges to be filed against Williams.
