Bragg soldier dies in Afghanistan
A soldier from Georgia, serving with a unit based at Fort Bragg, died Thursday in Afghanistan, the Department of Defense said.
Posted — UpdatedFORT BRAGG, N.C. — A soldier from Georgia, serving with a unit based at Fort Bragg, died Thursday in Afghanistan, the Department of Defense said.
Pfc. Johnathon F. Davis, 20, of Griffin, Ga., was assigned to the 4th Squadron, 73rd Cavalry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division. He was deployed to Kandahar province where he was killed by enemy small-arms fire.
