BOO! Raleigh's natural sciences museum's annual Natural History Halloween is coming up

RALEIGH, N.C. — Get ready for the N.C. Museum of Natural Sciences' Natural History Halloween.

The annual event lets you explore the museum's Nature Research Center after hours and take part in an evening of spooky interactive science activities and live programming. It's 6 p.m. to 8 p.m, Thursday, Oct. 11. Nature-themed Halloween costumes are encouraged, according to the museum. The event is designed for families with children ages 5 to 12.

Activities include:
  • Animals of Halloween – owls, bats, spiders
  • Grossology – Gross items from the museum's collections
  • How Do Ghosts Float? A demonstration
  • Weird natural history objects
  • Skulls & Diets cart
  • Lollipop Walk
Tickets are $5 per person. Pre-registration is required. Tickets are limited and will not be sold at the door. You can buy them now online.
