DURHAM, N.C. — Bond is set at $500,000 for a Raleigh man charged with murder in the death of his girlfriend's 2-year-old daughter.
Jerry Helisek appeared in court Thursday. Durham police arrested Helisek Sunday after finding Cadency Ramsey unconscious at his girlfriend's home.
An autopsy conducted Sunday revealed that the child died as a result of blunt force trauma, police said.
