Bomb threat forces evacuation of Durham building

Police responded to a threat at the state Division of Motor Vehicles office on South Miami Boulevard. The state Highway Patrol also has an office in the building.

DURHAM, N.C. — A bomb threat Wednesday afternoon forced the evacuation of a government office in Durham.

Police responded to a threat at the state Division of Motor Vehicles office on South Miami Boulevard. The state Highway Patrol also has an office in the building.

A bomb-sniffing dog from the Durham County Sheriff's Office searched the building, but nothing suspicious was found, police said.
