GREENSBORO, N.C. — Fans can get a free Bojangles sausage biscuit next month when local teams score 77 or more points in the men's and women's ACC basketball tournaments.

It doesn’t matter if you pull for Duke, UNC or N.C. State. Throughout both tournaments – the women play March 1-5, and the men play March 7-11– any time a team scores 77 or more points, fans can get a free sausage biscuit at participating Bojangles.

Fans can receive their free sausage biscuits at online ordering locations the next day by using the code "ACC" in the Bojangles app.

"Make baskets, get biscuits – we're giving fans another reason to cheer for their favorite teams this year at the ACC men's and women's tournaments," said Ken Reynolds, director of corporate and community affairs for Bojangles. "As if the competition isn't steep enough, we want to up the ante by putting sausage biscuits on the line, so everyone visiting Greensboro, from near and far, can enjoy Bojangles on us."

The "77" landmark is a nod to the brand's birth year – Bojangles was founded in Charlotte in 1977. Free sausage biscuits are limited to one per day per customer, and no purchase is necessary to redeem the reward.

Bojangles will host a tailgate party at the free FanFest events in Greensboro, complete with basketballs that look like biscuits, designed by a local team of three sisters.

As part of its commitment to literacy, Bojangles is asking fans of all teams to bring new or gently used books to its FanFest booth to be donated to Greensboro-area schools following the tournaments.
